About Us
Cindra Stolk, owner and head designer at Jet Set Design, has been a resident of the Palm Springs area for 35 years. Her passion and love for all things mid-century - from interiors and furniture, through industrial and product design, art, accessories and more - was inspired by her mother, also an interior designer. From a young age, Cindra was involved in her mother’s business, providing the perfect outlet and experience for her creative intuition and needs, and granting her a solid foundation in interior design.
In her former business, Mid Mod Design, Cindra and friend Tracy partnered in the world of mid-century home aesthetics, before Cindra became increasingly interested in purchasing distressed mid-century properties, investing in them with the goal of restoring and bringing these properties back to their original state - and creating “turn key” properties ready to occupy as short term or long term rental properties.

This led to Cindra going out on her own and creating Jet Set Design with the aim to identify and facilitate the purchase of classic properties not only in Palm Springs, but across the United States.
To this end, Cindra can now help others create and implement their vision for these mid-century investment properties, having already put into place projects in Florida, Arkansas and Tennessee, to name a few. These encompass everything from finding the perfect property to restore, through enhancing floorplans, managing demolition and construction, creating landscaping, and designing all aspects of the interiors.
Personally, Cindra is actively involved with multiple organizations that serve the Palm Springs community and her passion of historic building preservation. She’s been a Palm Springs Art Museum President's Circle Member for 20 years, and is a Founding Member of the Palm Springs Art Museum’s Architecture and Design Center.

Cindra is also on the Board of Directors of the Save the Historic Plaza Theater Organization, and serves as the Events Coordinator for all fundraising events for the venue. She’s on the Board of Directors for the Palm Springs Modernism Committee, and is a founding member of the Women’s Entrepreneurial Club of Palm Springs.
Never one to stay still for even a minute, she also serves on the board for several mid-century Home Owners Association communities to further her efforts to maintain them as original as possible for future mid-century enthusiasts.
Cindra has had several of her remodeled and restored homes featured in mid-century design publications, and continues to work with clients to help them with interior, exterior, and landscape design projects.
